We have not had internet at our house for the last 2 weeks so at night when I think about writing my blog I am out of luck…sorry
Today I was reflecting on why I like development work and I think the main reason is that it never feels like a job to me…I have been entrusted with the funds of people who have been inspired to give and I am part of the link between people who desire to help and those who need the assistance…that is not a job…that is a massive amount of responsibility : ) but in a way that opens the door to changing lives and I love it. There is a campaign called Girl Up and its main purpose is to keep adolescent girls in school through mentorship programs as well as sensitively approaching the subject of harmful traditional practices such as FGM. It’s a UNICEF program that is funneled through SP and I will be assisting with implementation…what an amazing job I have.
